Product description:

Mung Beans, also known as green gram is a small green coloured bean with a subtle sweet flavour. These 100% Australian Mung Beans are Certified Organic and have no added preservatives. Versatile and easy to use; Mung beans are often sprouted; made into a  delicious sweet or savoury paste, or cooked whole and added to a variety of recipes.

Some Tips to Use:

Organic Mung Beans have great and famous sprouts. Simply soak the beans in a bowl of cold water overnight, drain and rinse and cover with mesh or cloth. Rinse and drain three times a day and it will be ready to eat day three and can be refrigerated up to 4 days.

Pre-soak in cold water for at least 4 hours to cook it. You can add pre-soaked mung beans to your soups or hotpots to cook. But you can cook the pre-soaked beans by draining and placing beans in a pot of cold water and boiling for 30 minutes.

As a general note, DO NOT add salt while cooking any type of beans, as this can make their outer skins tough. 

Cooked Mung beans are great in your choice of salads, veggie burgers. Also, It can be used for making a delicious and healthy dip. Smashed beans are great in dips mix with sumac spice, chilli, garlic and olive oil.
