Our 100% Organic Adzuki Beans are non-GMO and have no added preservatives with a sweet nutty flavour and natural savoury aroma. In Asia, where they originate they are used in sweet and savoury recipes. In Japanese cooking, adzuki beans are used to make Red Bean paste and in traditional celebration dishes for New Years.
It can be used for making the delicious and healthy dip and you can find it how in the video linked here. Smashed beans are great in dips; mix with pureed beetroot, sumac spice, chilli and garlic.
You can make delicious vegetarian burgers and fritters with mashed Adzuki bean in a combination of grated veggies such as carrot, zucchini, flour and spices.
Also cooked Adzuki beans can be added to salads and warming soups for a YUMMY outcome.
How to Use:
For cooking just pre-soak in cold water for 1-2 hours. Drain and put beans in a pot of cold water and bring to the boil and cook it for about 30-40 minutes.
As a general note, DO NOT add salt while cooking any type of beans, as this can make their outer skins tough.
