Soybeans can be used to make soy milk. You need to pre-soak them for at least 8 hours or overnight before making milk or cooking. To make soy milk, rinse pre-soaked beans, blend with fresh water and drain through a fine cloth. You can also sweeten your soy milk with honey or maple syrup.
For cooking, rinse pre-soaked soybeans, put them in a pot and boil them for around 4 hours or until cooked. You can make wonderful mashed soybeans with these cooked ones for dips or backing. Or you can use whole cooked soybeans in your choice of salads and soup as a good source of protein.
You are looking to have a healthy and crunchy snack. Just spread out on a baking tray and place in an oven with medium heat until turns golden and crunchy. Add these toasted soybeans to your favourite muesli or salad.
