The pistachio a member of the cashew family is a small tree originating from Central Asia and the Middle East. The tree produces seeds that are widely consumed as food. These Raw Pistachio kernels have no added preservatives and are non-GMO. These delicious Pistachios have a green colour, nutty flavour and firm texture. They are a great snack on their own and ingredient in many dishes.
Some Tips to Use:
Our raw pistachio kernels are a wonderful snack on their own or in your favourite trail mix in combination with other nuts, dried fruits and seeds. You can add whole or chopped pistachios to muesli and granola, or sprinkle over porridge, yoghurt or smoothie bowls.
If you are a nut butter lover, you can activate them. Soaking them in water for 12 hours before slowly dehydrating at very low heat, and grind the crunchy activated pistachio kernels to make yummy dairy-free nut butter – wonderful for vegans.
Toss these delicious little ones over your choice of salads. Pistachio Kernels are also a delicious added to your home-baked bread, muffins, cakes and biscuits.
Put a big smile on your kids' face with using them in home-made ice cream or topping their ice cream. It is also wonderful for making baklava.
